Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support transportation initiatives within a fast paced finance team. You’ll forecast, analyze variances, and develop board materials to help ShipBob scale profitably.

This hybrid Chicago role reports to the FP&A Manager and partners with the Transportation team to improve margin and forecast accuracy. The position emphasizes modeling, budgeting, and strategic projects, with collaboration across functions to drive results and communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related degree.
• 3PL or relevant experience in Transportation.
• 3-5 years of FP&A or related field.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation initiatives monthly and report KPIs to senior management.
• Collaborate to strategize and report on weekly transportation performance.
• Build bottoms-up forecasts with the Transportation team and identify risks.
• Develop models and processes for new transportation initiatives.
• Prepare operating plans and budgets with targets for transportation.
• Create monthly/quarterly investor and board reporting presentations.
