Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a fast-paced Finance team focused on transportation profitability. You will forecast, analyze variances, build performance reporting, and craft board/investor materials.

This role partners with the FP&A and Transportation teams to improve ship margin, support strategic initiatives, and enable profitable growth. You will drive demand for robust models, automate processes, and deliver insights to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field.
• 3PL or Transportation experience required.
• 3–5 years in FP&A or related field.
• Hybrid schedule in Chicago office.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough analysis on transportation initiatives monthly and report variances to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to strategize and report on weekly performance related to Transportation.
• Manage relationships with Transportation team to build bottom-up forecasts and identify risks/opportunities.
• Support development and implementation of models for new transportation initiatives.
• Prepare the annual operating plan with the Transportation team and convert to the budget.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly investor and board presentations highlighting metrics and trends.
• Provide margin analysis and insights to business partners.
