Job summary

• Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with transportation management systems (TMS) and MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
• Forklift or hostler experience with dock equipment.
• High school diploma; logistics/supply chain degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation schedules for shipments.
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, vendors, and customers to arrange pickups.
• Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery times.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain records of shipments, costs, and documentation.
• Handle delays, damage, or loss and find solutions.
• Collaborate with DCs, carriers, and customer service to streamline processes.
• Analyze costs and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Prepare reports on transportation activities and metrics.
• Position trailers and manage yard traffic; support equipment movement.
• Complete dock paperwork; perform Hostler duties as needed.
• Support daily functions using McLeod software and MS Office; act as SME.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
