Job summary

InProduction in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a Freight Coordinator to move materials to and from job sites, warehouses and client locations. This full-time role includes brokering third-party hauling, ensuring DOT and insurance compliance, and some fleet and driver maintenance.

Work is in-office with an on-site team; responsibilities include coordinating schedules, daily run planning, driver communications and KPI reporting, plus maintaining DOT compliance and logs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in logistics and/or transportation.
• BA or BS degree preferred.
• MS Office proficiency desirable.
• P&L management and reporting experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead pricing reviews to ensure cost savings.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with suppliers; evaluate requirements.
• Coordinate with personnel to address questions and equipment requests.
• Monitor driver utilization and schedules; dispatch drivers as needed.
• Prepare daily work/run schedules and KPI reporting.
• Maintain DOT compliance and driver logs; oversee fleet activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
