Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with TMS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems quickly.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
• 1 year forklift experience or 2 years hostler and dock equipment use.
• HS diploma or equivalent; degree in logistics or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation schedules for shipments.
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, vendors, and customers to arrange pickup/delivery.
• Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery times.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain records of shipments, costs, and documentation.
• Resolve delays, damage, or loss and find solutions.
• Collaborate with DCs, carriers, and customer service to streamline processes.
• Analyze transportation costs and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Prepare reports on activities and performance metrics.
• Position trailers and manage yard traffic; assist with dock operations.
