Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to own the driver-based operating model across the base business and new product lines. You will partner with leaders, CFO, and founders to build and maintain the planning cycle, with reporting that withstands external diligence.

You will translate results into actionable insights for executives, lead monthly reviews, and build business cases for opportunities, framed as build/buy/partner decisions with budget visibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience including 2+ years at an investment bank, corporate development or private equity, plus 2+ years in strategic finance or FP&A at a high-growth company.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similarly quantitative field.
• Strong financial modeling skills with driver-based operating models and GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback, retention, contribution margin).
• Ability to translate complex analyses into a clear executive narrative.
• Startup or high-growth experience preferred, including building processes from scratch.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools for analysis and automation.
• Insurance/insurtech/fintech or marketplace experience; finance stack experience (NetSuite, Ramp, planning tools).

Responsibilities

• Own the driver-based operating model for the base business and expand it as new products/lines launch.
• Explain movements vs plan and prior periods after close, and forecast implications.
• Translate financial results into clear business insights for the CFO, founders, board, and investors.
• Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders to drive decisions.
• Build the financial case for new opportunities and frame build/buy/partner decisions.
• Develop business cases before commitments and support negotiations, ensuring visibility for budget owners.
• Decide which analyses will actually change decisions and maintain focus.
