Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer - Technical to drive sales and marketing efforts across service centers in the region. You will act as a technical expert, support complex job walks, bid responses, and client discussions with a focus on maintenance and professional services.

The role requires mentoring associate sales engineers and leading area marketing initiatives, including thought leadership through events and presentations. Travel and flexible hours are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineer (BSEE/BSME) with no experience or graduate of electrical technical school or equivalent with five years of similar work or high school diploma with eight years of similar work.

Responsibilities

• Perform sales support to meet area sales goals.
• Make regular sales calls on major accounts and establish contact with new accounts.
• Present proposals accurately and technically, price correctly.
• Sell maintenance, engineering and professional services.
• Develop new accounts and sell to national accounts; engage VP level contacts.
• Support marketing to promote Vertiv's image in the industry and assist in area marketing plans.
• Train and mentor junior sales engineers in technical, sales, and marketing skills.
