Job summary

Everpure is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with strategic customers, shaping production architectures and advising through critical rollouts. You’ll turn field experience into structured product feedback that shapes our roadmap.

This consulting role requires deep Kubernetes and storage expertise, with hands-on infrastructure work in customer data centers. You will own engagements end-to-end and collaborate with senior engineers, leads, and architects to ensure robust deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering, SRE, architecture, or field and solutions engineering roles.
• CKA/CKS or equivalent Kubernetes expertise.
• Deep storage experience: Fibre Channel SAN, iSCSI, NVMe/TCP, NAS, multipath.
• Strong Linux systems background with performance triage skills.
• Genuine relationship-building and communication skills.
• Experience with Portworx or other enterprise storage platforms is valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and review production Portworx architectures for high-stakes environments.
• Test designs against compute/storage/hypervisor/network in customer environments.
• Advise on deployment decisions to ensure production readiness.
• Guide the layers under Portworx: LUN, masking, multipath, and virtualization considerations.
• Validate architectures in a lab before on-site engagements.
• Define failure-mode and performance validation plans before go-live.
• Lead as the senior technical voice during rollouts and escalations.
• Create reference architectures, runbooks, and decision frameworks.
• Upskill customer platform teams for post-handoff operations.
• Build relationships across the customer's platform organization and leadership.
• Conduct periodic account visits to maintain relationships and surface expansion opportunities.
• Develop fluency in customer development environments to discuss platform needs.
• Document and route field feedback to Product and Engineering.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Support on engagements.
• Office in Santa Clara, Chicago, or New York; in-office as per Everpure policy.
