Job summary

Everpure, a leading data platform company, seeks an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with strategic customers for Kubernetes storage deployments. You will act as the technical bridge, shaping architectures, advising on deployment decisions, and turning field experience into actionable product feedback.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering, SRE, architecture, or field and solutions engineering roles; prior forward deployed, field engineering, or professional services experience a plus.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise (CKA/CKS or equivalent), grounded in running production clusters.

Responsibilities

• Design and review Portworx architectures for complex on-prem, bare metal, and hybrid deployments.
• Pressure-test designs against compute, storage fabric, hypervisor, and network.
• Advise on decisions that affect production robustness: storage class design, KVDB topology, snapshot/backup policy, replication mode.
• Guide layers underneath Portworx: LUN presentation and masking, multipath, LVM, HBA/NIC choices, MTU and bonding, VLAN/routing.
• Define failure-mode and validation plans before go-live and interpret results with the customer.
• Act as the senior technical voice during rollouts and escalations; coordinate with Support and Engineering.
• Author reference architectures, runbooks, and decision frameworks for reusable IP.
• Upskill customer platform teams for post-handoff independence.
• Build relationships across the customer's platform organization with senior engineers, leads, and architects.
