Job summary

Everpure is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join Portworx's team and work with our strategic customers on high-stakes Kubernetes storage deployments. You will shape production architectures and guide critical rollouts, turning field experience into product feedback that informs our roadmap.

You'll operate end-to-end engagements from solution validation to on-site deployment, serving as a trusted technical advisor with deep knowledge of storage fabrics, servers, and networks, and building

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering, SRE, architecture, or field and solutions engineering roles
• Must have Unix & Linux administrator experience
• Deep Kubernetes expertise (CKA/CKS or equivalent), production experience
• Strong command of enterprise storage: Fibre Channel SAN, iSCSI, NVMe/TCP, NAS protocols, dm-multipath, LVM, and array-side provisioning
• Real understanding of compute and server hardware: bare metal provisioning, BIOS, firmware, drivers, HBA/NIC, NUMA/topology

Responsibilities

• Design and review production Portworx architectures for complex, high-stakes environments
• Pressure-test the design against compute, storage fabric, hypervisor, and network
• Advise on decisions that determine production reliability and design tradeoffs
• Guide infrastructure layers under Portworx: LUN presentation, masking, multipath, and NIC choices
• Validate architecture patterns in a lab before on-site engagements
• Define failure-mode and validation plan before go-live and interpret results for the customer
• Act as senior technical voice during rollouts and escalations
• Author reference architectures, runbooks, and decision frameworks
• Upskill customer platform teams for independent post-handoff operation
• Build relationships across the customer platform organization and stakeholders
