Job summary

Salesforce seeks a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to lead the technical authority for our federal platform footprint, aligning compliance directives with cloud engineering to achieve FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 authorizations.

You will partner with Engineering to drive architectural excellence, define standardized frameworks, and mentor teams across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or dedicated enclaves, ensuring secure, compliant product delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• 5+ years leading federal compliance initiatives (FedRAMP Moderate/High, DoD IL5).
• Deep knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, RMF, FIPS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define technical vision for federal platform footprint and achieve FedRAMP High/DoD IL5 authorizations.
• Provide architectural governance and risk mitigation for complex initiatives.
• Develop reusable design frameworks and compliant-by-default guidance for engineering teams.
• Translate security/compliance needs into scalable cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud/Azure Gov Government.
