Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to serve as the chief technical authority for our federal platform footprint. You will define technical vision, align compliance directives with cloud engineering, and drive FedRAMP High/DoD IL5 authorizations across AWS GovCloud or Azure Gov.

The role partners with Engineering and exec leadership to mitigate risks and enable secure, scalable federal solutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• 5+ years leading federal compliance initiatives (FedRAMP IL5/Moderate, DoD IL5).
• Experience with federal security frameworks and executive-level communications.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural standards and enable highly available federal platforms.
• Lead compliance and security architecture across the platform lifecycle.
• Engage with executives and 3PAOs on security posture and authorization.
• Draft architecture specifications, SSPs, and portfolio plans.
