Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to lead the technical authority for our federal platform footprint. You will define the technical vision, align compliance directives, and drive secure, compliant cloud engineering to achieve FedRAMP High and IL5 authorizations.

You will partner with Engineering, Product, and leadership, translating standards into scalable architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or enclaves, while coaching teams and guiding

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• 5+ years leading federal compliance initiatives (FedRAMP IL5/High, DoD IL5).
• Deep knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, RMF, FIPS, and DoD SRG requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish architectural standards and design compliant, high-availability federal platforms.
• Evaluate feasibility of complex architecture initiatives and perform governance reviews.
• Define reusable design frameworks with compliant-by-default guidance for engineers.
• Explore new technologies and cloud patterns while balancing delivery velocity and risk.
