Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to serve as the chief technical authority for our federal platform footprint. You will define technical vision, align compliance directives with cloud engineering, and drive FedRAMP High/IL5 and DoD IL5 authorizations.

You will partner with Engineering and Product leadership, translate NIST SP 800-53, DoD SRG, and FIPS requirements into scalable cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud/Azure Government, and mentor teams

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• 5+ years leading federal compliance initiatives (FedRAMP Moderate/High, DoD IL5).
• Hands-on experience designing secure cloud architectures in AWS GovCloud or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Establish architectural standards for highly available federal platforms achieving FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 authorizations.
• Translate NIST SP 800-53, DoD SRG, and FIPS requirements into scalable cloud architectures.
• Drive governance reviews and risk mitigation strategies across the platform lifecycle.
• Mentor architects and communicate complex security concepts to executives and regulators.
