Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to serve as the chief technical authority for our federal platform footprint. In this role, you will define and inform technical vision and bridge high-level compliance directives with robust cloud engineering to achieve and maintain FedRAMP High, IL5 and DoD IL5 authorizations.

You will partner with Engineering to drive systemic engineering excellence, align cross-functional initiatives with long-range strategic goals,

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• 5+ years leading federal compliance initiatives (FedRAMP Moderate/High, DoD IL5).
• Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud or equivalent federal environments.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural standards and ensure high availability of federal platforms.
• Drive compliance and security architecture across the lifecycle; close gaps in requirements.
• Author architecture specs, SSPs, and portfolio strategy for executives and regulators.
• Lead technical reviews, governance, and proactive risk mitigation for federal deployments.
