Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to lead FedRAMP Moderate/High and DoD IL5 authorization efforts. You will translate compliance requirements into scalable cloud architectures on AWS GovCloud or Azure Gov, guiding engineers and engaging with 3PAOs and regulators.

You will drive architectural governance, establish standards, and mentor teams to maintain secure, compliant federal platforms while aligning with executive strategy.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• 5+ years leading federal compliance initiatives (FedRAMP IL5/High, DoD IL5).
• Deep knowledge of NIST SPs, RMF, FIPS, and DoD SRG requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish architectural standards for highly available federal platforms.
• Drive compliance and security architecture across the full platform lifecycle.
• Translate regulatory controls into scalable cloud architectures (AWS/Azure Gov).
• Collaborate with executives, 3PAOs, and sponsoring agencies on authorization cycles.
• Define reusable design frameworks and improve developer productivity.
