Job summary

ATF is seeking a Budget Analyst to support budget formulation and execution across program areas. The role involves providing expert guidance on fund allocation, creating supporting budget materials, and monitoring the Financial Plan for accuracy and efficiency.

Qualified candidates will have specialized experience in budget processes, can develop annual and multi-year materials, and maintain trackers of allotments and funding levels to ensure compliance with the fiscal plan.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience demonstrating knowledge of budget formulation and execution.
• Experience developing annual and multi-year budget materials.
• Experience tracking allotments, obligations, and funding levels.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert advice, assistance, and guidance to program managers and Bureau officials on allocation, use, and control of appropriated funds.
• Supporting the oversight of budget execution activities by monitoring inputs, outputs, and modifications to the Financial Plan.
• Demonstrating and applying knowledge of federal budget formulation & execution processes, financial analysis, and relevant laws, regulations, and directives.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across Directorates and program offices to support organizational goals, contributing to tasks that advance ATF's mission.
• Preparing a wide range of budget materials, including justifications, operating plans, mid-year reviews, briefing documents, and funding reports.
