Job summary

ATF is seeking a Budget Analyst in the Financial Management Division to support the formulation, justification, presentation, evaluation, execution, monitoring, and review of budget areas. The role involves advising program managers on funds allocation and control, and preparing comprehensive budget materials for leadership and stakeholders.

The incumbent will apply federal budgeting processes and collaborate across directorates to ensure alignment with the Financial Plan andAgency objectives.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in budget formulation, execution, and analysis.
• Ability to develop annual and multi-year budget materials.
• Proficiency in maintaining trackers and spreadsheets for monitoring funding levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to program managers on allocation and control of funds.
• Support budget execution oversight by monitoring inputs, outputs, and modifications.
• Apply knowledge of budget formulation/execution processes, laws, regulations, and directives.
• Collaborate with Directorates and program offices to advance ATF's mission.
• Prepare budget materials including justifications, operating plans, and funding reports.
