Job summary

ATF’s Financial Management Division, Budget Branch, drives budget formulation and execution, shaping policies, plans, and procedures to improve efficiency. The incumbent supports ownership of the budget cycle, from justification to monitoring, ensuring clear communication to leadership.

The role requires expertise in budget processes, strong analytical abilities, and collaboration across Directorates to advance ATF’s mission and maintain robust financial controls.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience demonstrating the ability to guide allocation, use, and control of funds.
• Experience identifying alternative solutions to budget or resource issues with sound analysis.
• Maintaining trackers and spreadsheets to monitor allotments, obligations, and funding levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to program managers and Bureau officials on funds allocation, use, and control.
• Monitor inputs, outputs, and modifications to the Financial Plan to support budget execution.
• Prepare a wide range of budget materials and reports for leadership and stakeholders.
