Job summary

ATF is seeking a Budget Analyst in the Financial Management Division to support the budget formulation and execution process. The incumbent will analyze and help justify budget areas, present findings, and implement improvements for efficiency and effectiveness of Bureau financial management.

Key duties include providing expert guidance on funds allocation, monitoring the Financial Plan, and preparing a full range of budget documents for leadership and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy

Qualifications

• Specialized experience demonstrating knowledge of budget formulation and execution.
• Experience developing annual and multi-year budget materials and reports.
• Ability to monitor and assess budget plans in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on the allocation, use, and control of funds.
• Monitor inputs, outputs, and modifications to the Financial Plan.
• Apply knowledge of federal budget formulation and execution processes, laws, regulations, and directives.
• Collaborate with Directorates and program offices to support ATF's mission.
• Prepare budget materials including justifications, operating plans, and funding reports.
