Job summary

ATF, within the Financial Management Division, Budget Branch, seeks a Budget Analyst to support the formulation, justification, presentation, evaluation, execution, and review of assigned budget areas.

The incumbent will provide expert guidance to program managers and Bureau officials on funds allocation and control, monitor the Financial Plan, and prepare a wide range of budget materials for leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in budget formulation and execution and related policy.
• Ability to develop annual and multi-year budget materials and reports.
• Experience maintaining trackers and spreadsheets for allotments and funding levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to program managers and Bureau officials on funds allocation, use, and control.
• Support oversight of budget execution by monitoring inputs, outputs, and modifications to the Financial Plan.
• Apply knowledge of federal budget processes, regulations, and directives in analyses and recommendations.
• Collaborate across Directorates to support organizational goals and ATF mission.
• Prepare budget materials such as justifications, operating plans, mid-year reviews, briefing documents, and funding reports.
