Job summary

ATF’s Financial Management Division, Budget Branch seeks a Budget Analyst at the GS-13 level to support budget formulation, justification, presentation, evaluation, execution, monitoring, and review for assigned budget areas. The incumbent contributes to policy development and procedures to improve overall Bureau financial management.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience required at GS-13 or equivalent with one year at GS-12.
• Experience guiding stakeholders on allocation, use, and control of funds and recommending resolutions.
• Maintaining trackers and spreadsheets to monitor allotments, obligations, and funding levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on allocation, use, and control of appropriated funds.
• Support budget execution oversight by monitoring inputs, outputs, and modifications to the Financial Plan.
• Demonstrate knowledge of federal budget formulation and execution processes and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with Directorates and program offices to support ATF's mission.
• Prepare budget materials including justifications, operating plans, mid-year reviews, briefing documents, and funding reports.
