Job summary

ATF seeks a Budget Analyst within the Financial Management Division, Budget Branch to support the budget formulation and execution process. The role involves analytical duties across budgeting areas, policy formulation, and continuous improvement of financial management practices.

The incumbent will prepare budget materials, justify funding requests, and provide expert guidance to program managers and Bureau officials on funds allocation and control.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in budget development, execution, and reporting.
• Experience guiding stakeholders on allocation and control of funds.
• Ability to maintain trackers and ensure alignment with the Financial Plan.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on allocation, use, and control of funds.
• Support budget execution oversight by monitoring inputs, outputs, and modifications.
• Apply knowledge of federal budget processes, analysis, laws, and directives.
• Collaborate across Directorates to support organizational goals and ATF mission.
• Prepare budget materials such as justifications, operating plans, and funding reports.
