Job summary

ATF in the United States is seeking a Budget Analyst (GS-13) to support budget formulation, justification, and execution across the agency. The incumbent performs analytical duties related to budgeting, policies, plans, systems, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Bureau financial management.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience includes providing expert guidance on fund allocation, use, and control.
• Experience with developing annual and multi-year budget materials.
• Ability to monitor allotments, obligations, and funding levels and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to program managers and Bureau officials on budget allocation, use, and control of funds.
• Monitor inputs, outputs, and modifications to the Financial Plan to oversee budget execution.
• Demonstrate knowledge of federal budget formulation and execution processes, financial analysis, and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate across Directorates and program offices to support organizational goals and ATF's mission.
• Prepare budget materials including justifications, operating plans, mid-year reviews, briefing documents, and funding reports.
