Job summary

The ATF's Financial Management Division, Budget Branch, seeks a Budget Analyst to support the budget formulation, justification, presentation, evaluation, execution, monitoring, and review of assigned areas.

The incumbent provides expert guidance to program managers on allocation, use, and control of funds, prepares a wide range of budget materials, and collaborates across directorates to advance ATF's mission with clear, concise reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in budget formulation, justification, and presentation.
• Ability to produce concise budget materials and reports.
• Knowledge of applicable budgeting laws, regulations, and directives.
• Strong analytical reasoning and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on allocation, use, and control of funds.
• Support oversight of budget execution by monitoring inputs, outputs, and modifications.
• Apply knowledge of budget formulation and execution processes and directives.
• Collaborate with Directorates and program offices to support ATF goals.
• Prepare a wide range of budget materials ensuring clarity and accuracy for leadership and stakeholders.
