Job summary

The ATF Financial Management Division, Budget Branch is seeking a Budget Analyst to support budget formulation, justification, presentation, evaluation, execution, monitoring, and review of assigned budget areas in Portland, Oregon.

The incumbent will provide expert guidance to program managers on the allocation, use, and control of appropriated funds, assist in preparing budget materials, and collaborate across directorates to advance ATF's mission while complying with applicable laws and

Qualifications

Specialized experience guiding stakeholders on allocation, use, and control of funds.
Experience developing annual and multi-year budget materials.
Ability to identify solutions to budget or resource issues with sound reasoning.

Responsibilities

Provide expert advice to program managers on allocation, use, and control of funds.
Support oversight of budget execution by monitoring inputs, outputs, and modifications to the Financial Plan.
Apply knowledge of federal budget formulation and execution processes, financial analysis, laws, regulations, and directives.
Collaborate with Directorates and program offices to support organizational goals and ATF's mission.
Prepare budget materials including justifications, operating plans, mid-year reviews, briefing documents, and funding reports.
