Job summary

Lumen is seeking a strategic Principal Executive Recruiter to lead executive searches across AI, software, cloud, and transformation leadership. This remote-friendly role partners with senior leaders to shape future leadership needs and drive high-quality hires.

You will build pipelines, advise on market dynamics, and raise the bar for leadership capability while aligning with Lumen's growth goals and long-term strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in HR, business, CS or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive recruiting experience with VP+/SVP and C-suite searches.
• Proven track record recruiting executive talent in tech, AI, cybersecurity, cloud, data, or transformation environments.
• History closing exceptional passive talent in highly competitive markets with high standards.
• Deep knowledge of executive search methodologies, market mapping, talent intelligence, structured assessment, and offer negotiation.
• Ability to assess leadership capability and technical credibility for high-impact leadership roles.
• Exceptional communication, executive presence, discretion, integrity, and stakeholder influence.
• Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, talent intelligence platforms, ATS, and sourcing channels such as GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end executive searches for VP, SVP, and C-suite roles, from strategy to onboarding.
• Build and maintain world-class executive pipelines across AI, software, cloud, cybersecurity, digital, product, data, and technology leadership.
• Advise senior leaders with market intelligence, talent insights, benchmarking, and hiring recommendations.
• Drive a talent-density mindset to attract leaders who elevate capability and performance.
• Assess talent using structured, evidence-based methods while ensuring high-touch candidate experience.
• Coordinate with compensation partners and interview teams for data-driven hires.
• Improve hiring outcomes through market insights, analytics, and best practices.
