Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking an accomplished sales professional to drive revenue for Vertex transaction tax solutions in a defined Texas territory. You will craft account plans, understand client tax environments, and engage executives to win complex multi-department deals.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, 15+ years outside sales experience in tax software, and a proven track record selling to senior leaders. A strong knowledge of Vertex or similar software is preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of outside sales experience in transaction tax software (sales tax/consumer use tax/VAT).
• Strong ability to develop account plans and long-term relationships with senior decision makers.
• Experience selling to mid- to large-size enterprises and managing complex RFP responses.

Responsibilities

• Sell Vertex tax solutions to prospects and existing customers within a defined territory.
• Develop strategies and account plans to penetrate territory accounts.
• Build executive-level relationships and develop business cases to win large deals.
