Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking a results-driven sales professional to drive revenue by selling Vertex transaction tax solutions in a defined territory.

You will develop account plans, penetrate target accounts, and build long‑term relationships with senior executives. The role requires understanding customers’ tax and technical environments, presenting Vertex’s value at the highest levels, responding to RFPs, and collaborating with partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business; fifteen (15) years plus of outside sales experience in transaction tax software required.
• Strong working knowledge of Vertex or comparable transaction tax software preferred.
• Background selling software or consulting services to mid- or senior-level decision makers required.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by selling Vertex transaction tax solutions in a defined territory.
• Develop strategies and account plans to penetrate a defined territory and targeted accounts; build long-term relationships with customers.
• Engage with executives and other stakeholders to communicate Vertex value and respond to RFPs.
