Job summary

Aligned Data Centers, LLC, is seeking a senior leader to formulate and execute its global energy strategy. The role focuses on securing firm demand with utilities and customers, advancing public policy, and directing energy procurement and trading activities.

You will evaluate long-term energy products, negotiate supply agreements, and analyze cogeneration and alternative energy options to support sustainable growth and load expansion across core markets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in the utility industry or related energy sectors.
• Experience with trading agreements and risk/FP&A scheduling is a plus.
• Operational experience with generation assets (coal, gas, nuclear, renewables) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute Aligned's global energy strategy.
• Identify opportunities to provide firm, well-located demand with utilities and customers.
• Influence public policies to support load growth in core markets.
• Collaborate with customers to establish procurement strategies.
• Negotiate commodities trading agreements (ISDAs, EEIs, etc.).
• Evaluate and execute long-term energy products (PPAs, VPPAs, RECs).
• Negotiate electrical supply agreements prioritizing Aligned's load with utilities.
• Evaluate cogeneration economics and alternative energy solutions.
