Leidos Energy seeks a senior leader to own strategic planning, partnerships, and corporate development initiatives. You will drive ongoing competitive intelligence, scout tuck-in acquisition targets, and cultivate relationships with target companies and owners long before transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years in corporate strategy, industry/sector consulting, or corporate development, with a track record in the merger and acquisition space.
• Working knowledge of the energy infrastructure engineering market - gas and electric T&D, power generation, integrity/inspection, automation, grid modernization - and the players, capital flows, and demand drivers shaping it.
• Comfortable initiating and holding relationships with target company management and owners to get early market visibility.
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity across a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Target relationship building. Identify candidate tuck-in acquisition targets across the energy infrastructure engineering landscape and proactively build direct, lasting relationships with leadership and owners.
• Competitive intelligence. Own an ongoing view of the utility infrastructure engineering landscape and turn it into an intelligence product for the CFO and Energy BA Leader, shared with BD.
• Market & partnership cultivation. Build relationships with other key market players to create partnership opportunities and future positioning.
• BA Leader partnership. Collaborate with the Energy BA Leader on inorganic growth opportunities and align with operating priorities.
• Collaborate with corporate M&A group. Support due diligence and evaluation of opportunities brought into Corporate Development.
• Deal support. Lead the strategic and market-fit workstream of due diligence with Finance for valuation.
• Business case development. Build rationale and market narrative to support opportunities.
• Integration handoff. Stay engaged through early integration planning to inform structuring and pricing.
• Organic growth strategy. Support build-vs-buy decisions and capability gap analysis.
