Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth for the Energy Industry team and infrastructure-related practices, including data centers and P3s. The role collaborates with Practice Groups, Industry Teams, and firm leadership to execute BD strategies and measure impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or related area.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a B2B professional services or legal setting.
• Strong strategic planning and development skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to think critically.
• Self-starter with high energy and intellectual curiosity.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and solution-orientation.
• Ability to travel across the firm’s national footprint; some overnight travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio including the Energy Industry Team and related initiatives, including data centers and P3s.
• Make independent decisions on BD priorities, allocate resources, and coordinate with leaders.
• Collaborate with Practice Group Directors on performance and new service offerings.
• Drive and oversee BD strategies, including client engagement and cross-servicing.
• Lead BD Associates and Coordinators on portfolio projects.
• Define timelines, budgets, and KPI benchmarks for initiatives.
• Prepare and strategize RFPs and pitches for new business.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Finance, Data & Innovation, and other departments.
