Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Employee Relations Partner to provide tactical HR guidance to managers and employees, conduct investigations, and ensure actions comply with policies and laws.

You will partner with Operations, HRBPs, Labor Relations and Legal to resolve complex cases, monitor trends, and support risk mitigation while maintaining confidential information and professional relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in human resources, organizational management, law, or equivalent major; or 4 additional years of required experience.
• 5+ years in HR compliance, HR generalist or employee relations.
• MS Office proficiency (intermediate).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, conducting fair, neutral, and timely investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures and federal/state regulations. Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex case management systems.
• Provide supervisors and managers with policy interpretation regarding conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
• Partner with Operational Management/Business HR/Labor Relations/Legal Teams and other SMEs to create solutions to complex Employee Relations situations.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality HR support for the company through performance management, mitigating risk in legal compliance, administration of relevant clauses/provisions within union Collective Bargaining Agreements (as applicable), employee communication, and collaboration with COEs.
