Job summary

CAE USA Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager II to drive growth within the Defense & Security Military Training and Simulation portfolio.

You will identify opportunities, build customer relationships, and shape solutions aligned with priorities in a dynamic defense market. You will collaborate with capture, program, engineering, strategy, finance, contracts, and other teams to develop growth strategies, business cases, and competitive positioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field as listed.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and advance opportunities in defense/government contracting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with government customers and partners.
• Ability to analyze customer requirements, market conditions, and budgets to shape strategy.
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams in BD, capture, proposals, and programs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes BD plans within assigned portfolios.
• Identifies, evaluates, and qualifies new business opportunities.
• Establishes relationships with government customers, military leaders, and industry partners.
• Develops customer engagement plans, opportunity assessments, and action plans.
• Monitors budgets, priorities, and procurement timelines affecting opportunities.
• Translates customer needs into actionable growth strategies and value propositions.
• Supports capture and proposal activities with customer insight and competitive intelligence.
