Job summary

CAE USA is seeking a Business Development Manager II to drive growth for Defense and Security Military Training and Simulation. You will identify opportunities, build government relationships, and coordinate with capture, engineering, and proposals to shape competitive solutions.

In this role, you will analyze budgets, missions, and procurement timelines while developing strategic plans and engaging stakeholders to position CAE for future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying, qualifying, and advancing opportunities in defense/government contracting.
• Ability to translate customer missions and requirements into actionable growth strategies.
• Strong written and oral communication for executive briefings and proposals.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% annually.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes business development plans within assigned portfolios.
• Identifies, evaluates, and qualifies new opportunities aligned with growth objectives.
• Maintains relationships with government customers, military leaders, and industry partners.
• Creates customer engagement plans, opportunity assessments, and action plans for CAE’s growth.
• Tracks market, budget, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy.
• Supports capture and proposal activities with customer insights and competitive positioning.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to develop differentiated solutions.
• Prepares business cases, opportunity briefings, and pipeline updates.
