Job summary

BMO Financial Group seeks a Credit Analyst for Commercial Banking in Los Angeles to analyze credit information and structure loan solutions for a client portfolio. You will support lending decisions, assess repayment capacity, and collaborate with Relationship Managers to expand client relationships.

You will negotiate loan structures, ensure regulatory compliance, and monitor portfolio risk while contributing to business development and cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in credit or lending instruments or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
• Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze credit information and assess repayment capacity for a portfolio.
• Sign off on new, renewal, and extension loans within delegated authority.
• Develop proposals and deliver presentations to capture new business and expand client relationships.
• Monitor portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance, and analyze metrics.
• Adhere to credit policies and regulatory standards, protecting bank assets.
