Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Agent in San Antonio, TX. You will oversee the development, negotiation, and execution of division sourcing agreements and create material take-offs while supporting the VP of Purchasing with project timelines.

You will work with subcontractors to ensure cost-effective construction, monitor contract compliance, and optimize supply chains to reduce division costs. A detail-oriented, multi-tasking professional with a valid license is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years purchasing experience, preferably with a national home builder.
• Proficient in reading residential blueprints and Excel.
• Knowledge of nationwide construction practices.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, negotiation, and execution of division sourcing agreements.
• Create and maintain material take-offs.
• Support the VP of Purchasing by managing department timeline and workflows within the division.
• Research, pre-qualify, and participate in selecting qualified subcontractors offering cost-effective construction and services.
• Monitor trade partner performance to ensure contract compliance and resolve conflicts.
• Oversee contracts, material take-offs, and purchasing systems like BuildPro and JDE.
• Implement material sourcing strategies to optimize supply chains and reduce division costs.
• Maintain positive relationships with trade partners and ensure policy adherence, including insurance compliance and budget management.
