Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Agent in Alpharetta, GA to oversee sourcing, bid packages, and material take-offs. You will support the VP of Purchasing, manage contracts, and optimize supply chains for designated spend categories.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in purchasing, with strong Excel skills and construction knowledge. This role demands attention to detail and the ability to work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years purchasing experience, preferably with a national homebuilder.
• Proficient in reading residential blueprints and using Excel.
• Knowledge of nationwide construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, negotiation, and execution of division sourcing agreements.
• Create and maintain material take-offs and supporting documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure contract compliance.
• Manage contracts, take-offs, and purchasing systems (BuildPro, JDE).
• Implement sourcing strategies to reduce division costs.
• Maintain relationships with trade partners and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist in budget discussions and ensure timely progress payments.
