Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead division sourcing, negotiation, and onboarding of trade partners for production needs. This role emphasizes top-quality partners, cost management, and schedule adherence across multiple sites.

Travel to sites is required to assess performance, implement sourcing strategies, and develop should-cost models that improve cost per square foot while maintaining quality standards in residential construction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in sourcing and managing supplier/trade partner relationships.
• Superior analytical and communication skills required.
• Experience with JDE/AS400 and Excel.
• Knowledge of the residential homebuilding industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Lennar has top-quality trade partners for production needs, focusing on quality, scheduling adherence, and pricing.
• Source, contract, negotiate, and onboard new trade partners with required insurance.
• Travel to sites to assess and communicate trade partner performance to the Director of Purchasing.
• Develop and use should-cost models for cost estimation and optimization.
• Monitor divisional cost per square foot for designated categories.
• Negotiate and validate pricing and legitimacy of Extra Purchase Orders (EPOs).
• Review and ensure accuracy of all scopes of work, resolving issues with Expeditor as needed.
