Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Agent to oversee development, negotiation, and execution of division sourcing agreements and to support the VP of Purchasing by managing the department's timeline. This role involves maintaining material take-offs and updating purchasing systems.

The candidate will review bids, qualify subcontractors, and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs across divisions. Strong Excel skills and construction knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of purchasing experience.
• Proficient in reading residential blueprints.
• Knowledgeable in nationwide construction practices.
• Able to multitask under tight deadlines with a detail-oriented work ethic.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Lennar selects the best subcontractors and monitors their quality, cost, service, and delivery.
• Review, understand, and manage site development plans and specifications.
• Research, pre-qualify, and select qualified subcontractors offering cost-effective services.
• Prepare and analyze bid packages, including scopes of work and payment schedules.
• Monitor trade partner performance to ensure contract compliance and resolve issues.
