Job summary

JCS Solutions seeks a Strategic Communications Manager to support AFNCR ITS programs at JBA, JB Anacostia-Bolling, and the Pentagon. You will craft messaging, improve customer experiences, and align communications with DoD IT objectives.

The role requires Secret clearance and DoD 8140 qualification, with a strong focus on leadership, collaboration, and public affairs in a defense context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting military or government organizations.
• Knowledge of defense communication strategies and public affairs practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strategic communications plan for AFNCR ITS programs.
• Coordinate messaging across squadrons, bases, and departments to ensure consistency.
• Advise leadership on communications best practices and stakeholder engagement.
• Support alignment with Air Force IT priorities through integrated communications initiatives.
• Train personnel on effective communication techniques and best practices.
• Maintain visible on-site presence to engage leadership and strengthen partnerships.
• Develop newsletters to increase awareness of IT services across AFNCR.
• Create NOTAMs and other communications materials for service updates.
• Develop flyers, campaigns, and awareness materials for IT service changes.
