Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks an IT Strategic Communications Manager to support the Air Force National Capital Region IT Services program at JB Andrews, Anacostia-Bolling, and the Pentagon. The role emphasizes developing and maintaining the IT services catalog, and driving continuous process improvement in support of those services.

The candidate will advise leadership, coordinate across bases, and deliver data-centric briefs, executive summaries, and communications materials tailored for senior Air

Qualifications

• Familiarity with defense communication strategies and public affairs.
• Ability to develop long-term communication plans aligned with military objectives.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Security clearance: Secret
• 8+ years of military or government experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic communications plans for military groups.
• Coordinate messaging across squadrons, bases, and departments.
• Advise leadership on best practices and strategic messaging.
• Ensure alignment with Air Force IT goals and broader strategies.
• Prepare executive tours, briefs, and materials for senior leaders.
• Deliver UX-related strategic initiatives and projects as needed.
• Produce newsletters and notifications to inform users about IT services.
• Respond to short-notice tasks and organize meetings as part of Operations Fusion Team.
