Job summary

Leidos is hiring an Information Technology (IT) Strategic Communications Manager to support the AFNCR ITS program at Joint Base Andrews, MD, JB Anacostia-Bolling, DC, and the Pentagon. You will develop, maintain, and improve the AFNCR ITS Catalog and provide continuous process improvement analysis.

The role requires a BS with 8+ years (or MS with 6+ years) in defense comms, strategic messaging, and leadership in a government setting.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Military or Government experience and familiarity with defense communication strategies.
• Strategic thinking to develop long-term comms plans aligned with military objectives.
• Digital and social media proficiency and cybersecurity considerations.
• Leadership and collaboration to coordinate messaging across departments and with senior officials.
• Must have a full DoD Secret Clearance at start.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strategic communications plan for AFNCR IT services program.
• Coordinate messaging across bases, squadrons, and departments for consistency.
• Advise leadership on best practices and strategic messaging.
• Align IT communications with DAF information technology goals.
• Train personnel on effective communication techniques.
• Support UX initiatives and IT modernization through strategic comms.
