Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Strategic Communications Manager to support the Air Force National Capital Region IT Services program at Joint Base Andrews, MD, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC, and the Pentagon. The role focuses on developing and maintaining the IT services catalog and enabling continuous process improvement through strategic communications.

On-site position with responsibilities to coordinate messaging across bases, advise leadership, and translate

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Familiarity with defense communication strategies, operational security, and public affairs through military or government experience.
• Ability to develop and execute long-term communication plans aligned with military objectives.
• Knowledge of online communication platforms and cybersecurity considerations.
• Ability to coordinate messaging across departments and work with senior officials.
• Strong organizational and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strategic communications plan aligned with Air Force goals.
• Coordinate messaging across squadrons, bases, and departments for consistency.
• Advise leadership on communication best practices and strategic messaging.
• Train personnel on effective communication techniques.
• Architect and deliver data-centric briefings and executive summaries for senior leaders.
• Respond to short-notice information requests and organize meetings.
• Foster partnerships with cyber, acquisition, and infrastructure authorities.
