Job summary

Sipes Asphalt & Concrete is hiring a Commercial Sales Representative in the Indianapolis area to pursue new business opportunities in asphalt, concrete, paving, and construction. You will generate revenue, prepare estimates, submit bids, negotiate contracts, and close new business.

The ideal candidate is proactive and results-driven, capable of managing the sales and estimating process from prospecting to project execution, with measurable success in new business generation and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant sales experience.
• Experience with direct quota-carrying sales, preferably in construction services.
• Experience selling to managers and directors within organizations.
• Knowledge of bid processes, estimating, and project cycles.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound outreach, referrals, and networking.
• Develop strategies to generate leads and expand the customer base in asphalt and concrete markets.
• Evaluate upcoming projects, bid opportunities, and markets to prepare competitive proposals.
• Collaborate with operations to assess project requirements, costs, and profitability before bids.
• Follow up on estimates, negotiate pricing within approved parameters, and pursue contracts.
