Job summary

Riverbend Commercial Title Services, a subsidiary of Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL (KMK Law), seeks a Commercial Closing Agent to manage nationwide real estate closings for developers, lenders, and investors. You will coordinate all transactional aspects, prepare title commitments, and draft closing documents, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will work with underwriters, attorneys, and clients, maintaining files and providing timely updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in commercial real estate transactions.
• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, paralegal studies, or related field preferred.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with title production software (SoftPro, RamQuest, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage a high-volume pipeline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a professional, client-focused demeanor.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, compliance, and quality.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
• ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with national title underwriters and ALTA best practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of commercial closings, serving as the primary contact for clients, attorneys, lenders, surveyors, and other parties.
• Prepare, review, and issue title commitments, endorsements, policies, and related title products.
• Draft and assemble closing documents, including settlement statements and escrow instructions.
• Obtain and maintain title underwriter approvals for complex matters, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Coordinate receipt, disbursement, and reconciliation of escrow funds per instructions and regulations.
• Communicate status updates to all stakeholders via email, phone, and in-person meetings.
• Maintain organized physical and electronic transaction files per policy.
• Prepare correspondence and reports to facilitate closings and support team objectives.
• Perform additional duties to support Riverbend team.
