Job summary

1898 & Co. in Chicago, part of Burns & McDonnell, seeks a Digital Consulting Client Engagement Manager to partner with electric utility clients, translate business needs into technology solutions, and drive winning proposals. You will lead multi-team collaboration, manage expectations, and advance strategic accounts.

You will engage with customers to develop business opportunities, position services, and guide teams through complex integrations, ensuring value delivery and long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience with external clients in a consulting capacity.
• Experience deploying/integrating operational technology for utilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage client relationships, understand needs, and communicate effectively.
• Lead client-focused strategies and plans to drive sales for consulting services.
• Collaborate with partners to develop and execute strategic sales plans and opportunity pipelines.
• Lead service offering positioning, respond to RFIs and RFPs, and maintain accurate funnel data.
• Support recruitment, development, and mentorship of staff and ensure QA/QC adherence.
