Job summary

Gartner, Inc. is seeking a Capital Planning Analyst to manage global coordination of capital budgeting, forecasting, and controls. You will analyze spend, produce monthly reports, and drive improvements in forecasting accuracy while coordinating with IT, Real Estate, FP&A and regional stakeholders.

The role emphasizes data synthesis from multiple sources, advanced Excel use, and dashboards for visibility into capital investments and KPI performance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in finance, accounting, business or economics.
• 3+ years of real estate/finance/accounting/business experience.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with large datasets and multiple data sources.

Responsibilities

• Track project-level spend across global capital portfolio and align financial systems.
• Perform variance analysis on actual vs forecasted capital spend and identify trends.
• Produce monthly capital reporting packages with drivers and risks.
• Consolidate inputs for annual capital budget and long-range plan.
• Analyze historical data to improve forecasting accuracy for capex.
• Create dashboards/reports (Power BI) for capital spend and KPIs.
