Job summary

Gartner, Inc. in Stamford, CT is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to support the IT Business Unit with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.

You will partner with IT leaders, Finance, HR, and Recruiting to analyze cost drivers, investments, and operating spend, delivering data-driven insights to guide decisions. Candidates should have 3-5 years of FP&A experience and strong Excel skills; familiarity with Oracle is expected. AI/automation knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems such as Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting process and recurring forecasts for the IT Business Unit; identify risks and opportunities and clearly communicate key drivers of variance.
• Reporting & Insights: Deliver timely, insightful reporting to IT leadership, including analysis of personnel and technology investments; present findings to enable data-driven decisions.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting, leveraging technology including AI to increase efficiency.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide high-quality financial analysis to support leadership, helping translate data into actionable insights that inform priorities and resource allocation.
• Business Partnership: Partner cross-functionally with IT leadership, HR, Recruiting, and Finance teams to support workforce planning and expense management.
