Urban Outfitters is seeking a Buying Operations Coordinator to support daily operations within the buying area, ensuring timely merchandise delivery through proactive vendor communication and follow-up with the distribution center and buying team.

The role emphasizes maintaining accurate SKUs, managing backorders, RTVs, and price changes, while collaborating with Planning, Allocation, and AP teams to optimize receipts and OT B availability.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail with PO entry, SKU maintenance, and invoice corrections.
• Time management to handle deliveries, seasonal timelines, and multiple priorities.
• Clear, consistent communication with vendors, DC, and internal teams.
• Proactive problem solving for delays, discrepancies, and backorders.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Buying, Planning, Allocation, and AP teams.

Responsibilities

• Enter and revise purchase orders as needed.
• Track receipts to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
• Maintain accurate SKU information.
• Manage backorders and pre-orders to satisfy customers.
• Communicate with the distribution center to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate RTVs, reticketing, and price changes with Planning and Allocation teams.
• Manage receipts with open-to-buy availability and collaborate on order/receipt shifts.
• Oversee DTC flags and shipping restrictions.
• Oversee GTIN management for product items.
• Coordinate time-sensitive deliveries for events and seasonal launches.
• Assist with invoice corrections and adjustments with Accounts Payable.
• Work with Buying, Planning, and Allocation teams toward common merchandise goals.
